[CSI and the] BBB Rating ?
by Billy Forester at 05 May, 2010 10:00 AM
In light of the recent media interest concerning CSI in the Atlanta and Los Angeles markets, we are providing the following information that relates to our communications with the Dallas Better Business Bureau.
We initially met with the BBB in February of this year and provided them with information and materials describing our business and the opportunity. That was followed over the next few weeks by telephone conferences in which the BBB requested further detail and explanatory data, most of which was provided to them. Nevertheless, the BBB’s highly negative early report and low company rating was published at that time when their Advertising Director concluded that our Company was not “cooperating” with their investigation.
The BBB has asked for the contact information for our “clients”. This information is proprietary to both us and to the clients, many of whom prefer anonymity. Clients may be private investigators, skip tracers, attorneys, or repossessors who do not wish to have their identities and/or business affairs publicly disclosed ( i.e. in a BBB report). Our privacy policy required us to obtain consent from any clients whose data would be disclosed to the BBB. Nearly all of our hundreds of clients failed to respond to our request for written consent. During March, while we were seeking the client consents, the BBB further lowered our report rating to “F”, again citing non-cooperation, even though the Advertising Director’s email messages to one of our Attorneys concluded with the sentence “Thank you for your continued cooperation.“
Currently, we have over 50,000 Consultants nationwide, representing a potential of more than 500,000 pieces of license and location data available to our clientele every single month. With continued growth, our database will become even more attractive for the many large commercial clients that we seek to serve. We believe that in the weeks and months to come, we will reach an understanding with the Better Business Bureau on the validity and market potential of this innovative Company. In the meantime, we ask all our Consultants to focus on pursuing their business in a positive fashion. It is low risk, easy to do, and offers a competitive long-term opportunity for those willing to put in the time and effort needed to build a substantial organization.

Attorney Affirms The BBB Is Not Reliable And Isn't Truly About Assisting The Consumer; More Affirmation That Narc Technologies BBB Rating Is Biased
The information out there about the improprieties and unreliability of the BBB is sickening. It's a shame that we consumers have been made to think that a BBB approval is a good thing about a business, or vice versus. The BBB by all appearances is just a legal company that can try and bully other business for their money.
"Leonard Bennett, a Newport News attorney who specializes in consumer protection cases, said the public mistakenly believes the BBB exists to assist them.
'The problem is they market to us - to you and me, John and Jane consumer - that if you have a Better Business Bureau seal of approval,' it guarantees a company's reliability, Bennett said. 'That seal of approval doesn't mean anything except you've signed up and paid your dues.'"

Is The BBB Really Trying To Get Tens Of Thousands From Narc Technologies (Crowd Sourcing Int'l) ?
Someone raised the question of the truth of the matter of the BBB really trying to charge CSI a bunch of money (tens of thousands) so that CSI can have a much better BBB rating & accreditation status (see below post). Here is a link to a website with an interview from a BBB spokesperson that clearly shows that it is about getting money from Businesses to give them a better rating.
"The private, nonprofit Better Business Bureau insists there’s no “pay-for-play” component to its new rating system.
But a random search of the organization’s database of about 4 million North American companies seems to show that the roughly 400,000 accredited businesses, even those that get numerous complaints, very often receive higher grades than unaccredited companies with spotless complaint records...
The majority of the bureau’s funds come from selling accreditation to companies. Depending on the size of the business, accreditation costs between several hundred and several thousand dollars a year, Cox [BBB Spokesperson] said."

If you don't think the BBB is charging companies per employee/person then here is proof:

As you will see on this blog, you simply cannot and should not rely on the BBB in evaluating any business. The BBB is simple NOT what you think they are. The more you focus on researching the BBB the more you will learn that the BBB is the real culprit in the matter of the CSI business opportunity.
CSI is truly a great opportunity in which you can truly build a profitable business in which you don't have to concern yourself with selling, trying, switching or using anything with family and friends.
This business is real, it's simple, and many people are earning 3-6 figures in monthly residual income by simply gathering public data and sharing with others how to do the same.
